Raveonettes – Forget That You’re Young

The Raveonettes return in April with a brand new album Raven The Grave and they’ve chosen this gem to whet our appetites until then. Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, the two musicians that make up this Danish duo, create fuzz pop with ghostly synths and chilling melodies. The band has promised it would be “one of those albums that makes you wanna blow your brains out” and while it is a bit darker than their usual powerpop jams (they’ve released five studio albums since 2003), it’s not a particularly depressing song. The lyrics, however, are kind of creepy. I guess we’ll see about the rest of the album on April 5. Happy Monday everyone!
