Love Language began just as Stuart McLamb, a young guy who had just been kicked out of his band, The Capulets, after some drunken mistakes during a heartbroken drinking binge. That self described ‘low point’ in his life also served as a turning point as he returned home to his mom and pop’s basement in North Carolina and began writing what later became his debut record. Released in 2010, the recordings are casual lo-fi indie pop of a one man band writing heartwrenching love letters to his ex via song. The fuzzy harmonic melodies feature upbeat guitar riffs and sad piano ballads in equal measure.
He began playing with a band when he was offered an opening gig for the Rosebuds and even asked former band members from the Capulets to join him on stage. Now they record and perform together in a consolidated seven-piece and are releasing their sophomore album soon. Stay tuned!!
