Phantogram – Don’t Move

Phantogram Nightlife Don't Move Jenny's Song of The Day

Check out the newest track from Phantogram, an electronic duo-come-trio from New York who came out of nowhere last year with their unique brand of looping, shoegazing electro beats. The group consists of long time friends Josh Carter on vocals and guitar and Sarah Barthel on vocals and keyboards but they have just added a new talent into the mix: Tim Oakley from The Mathemeticians on drums.

This is the new jam from their mini-EP Nightlife, set to be released November 1, which was written in clubs and hotel rooms across North American while touring to promote their debut full-length, 2010’s Eyelid Movies. The band made quite the stir in the indie world during that tour, landing opening gigs for the likes of Beach House, Metric, Minus The Bear, Caribou, Zero 7, The xx, and Ra Ra Riot. I have been obsessing over this jam all week, just like I did over Eyelid Movies last year, and I can’t wait to hear the other 5 songs! Hopefully they’ll continue touring and be in our back yard again before you know it.

Check out their Myspace and their page on their new record label, Barsuk.
