I was in a remix-y mood today and something sublime has fallen into my lap, like it was meant to be. Brooklyn-via-Rhode-Island five-piece Fang Island have provided us with today’s jam by putting a lo-fi, percussion heavy spin on a song off of Welsh group The Joy Formidable’s debut album, The Big Roar, which dropped earlier this year via Atlantic Records. Not sure how a five-piece rock band can claim to have ‘remixed’ another rock song (isn’t that what DJs do?) but… I guess that’s what people are doing these days. I’m into it.
